Background/Personality: Veola is taciturn, reserved, has little to say to her customers and even less to say to strangers, though that doesn't necessarily mean that she's shy as well. She's seen as anti-social and has little to no friends because of her distant nature. The reason she pushes everybody away is because she doesn't want to risk being hurt or experience the loss of a loved one.
An honest person, Veola often comes off as being blunt and to-the-point, even more so when it involves someone she dislikes. It's much harder for her to express herself towards someone she's actually fond of.
Veola doesn't like going outside and can come off as a bit naïve because of how little she knows about the world and other people. She enjoys reading new books late at night, watching the stars, and food. Actually, food is probably the best way to get to like you. She also likes to improve her cooking skills so that she can make something that's actually edible.
Both Veola and her brother were orphaned when they were just children. As her only living relative while growing up, she loved him very much, but he died one night when the village they lived in was attacked and destroyed by Growloons. He made sure to protect her, but at the cost of his own life. After the attack, Veola managed to make her way to the village of Kavoc. Unfortunately, she didn't really know anybody there, nor was she familiar with the area.
However, a man called Norman, owner of the local bar, found her and took her in.
Once old enough, Veola was able to open up a "Magic Store" as a way to make some money. She didn't like working in it, but it was all she could manage with her talent for item crafting. She was later befriended by an alchemist called Klein Kielsing, who helped her in making new items that sky-rocketed her store's popularity.
When left alone, Veola would do some research regarding the "Chronolex", a legendary item with the power to allow it's user to exchange their soul for someone who's already lost theirs. She wanted to create this item in order to revive her brother, at the cost of her life. She eventually trusted Klein enough to tell him about her plans, but not enough for him to actually let him assist her in making it.
She continues to run her Magic Shop and hopes that she'll one day be able to gather all the items necessary for the Chronolex...
Unaware of Veola's goals, Norman grew worried that she was spending too much time in her shop. He wanted her to do so much more with her life. Because… after all, Veola was the daughter her never had.
He eventually heard of Desai University and thought it would be a good opportunity as any for Veola to learn new things in a good environment.
Reason for Attending: Didn't want to go at first, but she was finally persuaded to enroll by her friend Klein and father figure, Norman. She's going so that she can learn new things that'll help her make better items for the store she runs.
